Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis
Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis is the 11thChief Rabbi of Great Britain since the office was introduced in 1704. He is the religious figurehead for Jewish communities right across the Commonwealth. He was installed on 1stSeptember 2013 in an historic ceremony attended by His Majesty King Charles III, then The Prince of Wales.
Born in South Africa, he previously served as Chief Rabbi of Ireland and the Marble Arch and Finchley Synagogues.
As Chief Rabbi, he is a primary representative of the Jewish community to government, other faiths and civil society as well as being responsible for oversight of crucial parts of the UK Jewish community’s religious infrastructure.
Chief Rabbi Mirvis is known as a principled leader who has broken new ground in the fields of interfaith and social responsibility, as well as tackling a number of particularly complex or controversial issues, including the welfare of LGBT+ students in Orthodox Jewish Schools and antisemitism in the British Labour Party.
Chief Rabbi Mirvis serves as Associate President of the Conference of European Rabbis, President of the London School of Jewish Studies and is a regular contributor to press and broadcast media.
He makes personal visits to communities across the UK and the Commonwealth a priority, to provide inspiration and Torah education. He has launched a number of innovative projects, such as his Centre for Community Excellence, the Ma’ayan female educators programme, the Ben Azzai social responsibility programme and ShabbatUK.
He received a knighthood last year from King Charles III in a ceremony at Windsor Castle.
Rabbi Menachem Penner
Rabbi Menachem Penner is the Max and Marion Grill Dean of Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary at Yeshiva University where he has the privilege to inspire and train the rabbis of tomorrow. In March, he will take his next step, assuming the role of Executive Vice President of the Rabbinical Counsil of America, the continent’s largest and most prestigious Rabbinic Fellowship. He will continue as a mentor and faculty member at RIETS with the title of Dean Emeritus.
Rabbi Penner served as the spiritual leader of the Young Israel of Holliswood in Queens for 20 years and continues to teach in communities worldwide, focusing on Tanach, Tefillah and Machshavah. He also speaks worldwide on critical family and community issues of our day. Rabbi Penner received his semikhah from RIETS and is proud to serve the institution from which he received his formative education.
Rabbi Penner lives in Cedarhurst, NY and is married to Adeena, the President of Kesher Families, a vital organization for families of individuals who identify as LGBTQ. He works closely with her as part of this special mission. Rabi and Mrs. Penner are proud parents and grandparents of children in the US and Israel.
Jonathan Conricus
Retired Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus, now a Senior Fellow at The Foundation for Defense of Democracies, brings 24 years of profound experience from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Serving as a combat commander in Lebanon and Gaza, he also excelled in military diplomacy, foreign relations, and international spokesperson duties. As the first Israeli officer seconded to the United Nations (UN), he provided strategic analysis for UN peacekeeping forces. Recently retired during the initial three months of the conflict against Hamas, Conricus played a pivotal role representing the IDF in international media interviews across premier networks. His adept explanations of complex ground situations and frequent updates on IDF social media reached millions worldwide.
Beyond professional achievements, Jonathan is a passionate Zionist, emphasizing the vital link between Israel and the Diaspora. He devoted a significant part of his career to globally representing and defending Israel’s reputation. Residing in Israel with his family, Jonathan’s adventurous spirit extends to exploring new sites and locations on his motorcycles.
Emil A. Fish
Emil A. Fish was born in 1935, on the brink of World War II, to a family with a Hasidic background in Bardejov, Eastern Slovakia. In 1944, after hiding in different places, Emil together with his father, mother and sister, were caught in Bratislava-the capital of Slovakia- and sent to concentration camps. Emil’s father was sent to Buchenwald, while he, his sister and his mother were sent to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. The family reunited in Bardejov after the war. Emil immigrated to Israel in 1949, then to Canada in 1951 and finally settled in Los Angeles in 1955.
In 1960 Emil and his father started Fish Construction and went on to become an award-winning real estate developer and pioneer in senior housing with his other company, Regency Park Senior Living, in Pasadena, California. Emil Fish married Jenny Schiff from Manhattan in 1968 and they had three children, 12 grandchildren, and now a great grandson.
Barack Obama appointed Emil to The United States Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad in 2009 on which he still serves. Emil has been a Jewish community activist for 60 years.In 2005, After visiting his hometown in Bardejov, Emil founded the Bardejov Jewish Preservation Committee, and has worked tirelessly to restore and preserve Bardejov’s Jewish heritage, including building the now world renown Bardejov Holocaust Memorial and simultaneously authored and published the acclaimed Memorial Book Of Jewish Bardejov,Slovakia in 2014. At the present time, next to the memorial, Emil is restoring the Bardejov beit midrash and mikveh built 200 years ago to an active Heritage Museum.
In 2019, he established the Emil A. and Jenny Fish Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, at Yeshiva University in New York to ensure that those whom the Nazis murdered will never be forgotten. In 2024, Emil produced a film called “Bardejov” about the Jewish resistance in 1942 to transport 400 young women from Bardejov to Auschwitz.
Rabbi Daniel Wolnerman
Rabbi Daniel Wolnerman was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa and earned his B.A. at the University of Southern California before moving to Israel where he received rabbinic ordination from the Chief Justice of the Rabbinical High Court in Jerusalem. Rabbi Wolnerman is an internationally-acclaimed speaker, having educated thousands of university students and young professionals while serving as the Hillel Rabbi at the University of Florida, University of Miami, and serving as the Director of the Jewish Professional Networks with Aish HaTorah Toronto. Despite being a former National Collegiate Debate champion, he is still unable to win an argument with his wife. He is currently a Principal at Yeshiva Elementary School in Miami, Florida.
Lady Valerie Mirvis
Lady Valerie Mirvis spent the first 18 years of her life in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. In 1977 she moved to Israel, studying at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and graduating with a BA in History and English Literature. She taught both English and Hebrew for many years, before taking on the role of Community Development Co-ordinator in Jewish Care’s Stamford Hill Community Centre for the elderly.
In 1997 she moved to social work, graduating with an MA(DipSW) in Social Work, followed by the AASW (Advanced Award in Social Work) which is a professional Masters. She worked with elderly clients in her Jewish Care role for 8 years, with placements in a dementia unit and Grove House Day Hospice. She then worked for Jewish Blind and Disabled before moving to a Statutory Role in Front Line Child Protection for the London Borough of Barnet for 6 years, followed by 5 years in Barnet’s Adoption Team. In 2019 she became the Lead for the ASYE (Assessed & Supported Year of Employment) for all the newly qualified social workers in Barnet Children’s Service, a role she continues to this day.
She has lectured widely in the UK and abroad on Healthcare Communication Skills since 1996. Her book Please Don’t Break My Other Leg! A Guide to Empathising with Patients was published in English by University Press of America, 2001 and in Chinese by H20 Publishers, 2004.

Tal Vaknin
Tal Vaknin is an internationally acclaimed singer and composer of Jewish pop and soul music. Tal is known for his amazing vocal abilities and his success among all different streams of Jewish audiences both in Israel and abroad. Born in Jerusalem, and son of a musical cantorial parent, Tal was discovered at an early age as a musical prodigy child. Tal continued to wow audiences in concerts up until he joined the IDF. During his service in the IDF he performed in the Israeli Army band at bases all around the country.
Following the Army, Tal began performing his own unique Jewish hits. He quickly became a sought-after singer and began to perform in concerts and festivals for Chabad Israel and in communities all over the USA and Europe. Tal performed with famous opera singer Andreas Bocelli. Tal founded the radio station Galey Yisrael along with “Lehakat Darom” and served as the Music Director of the station. He founded the children’s group “Musickids”.
Among his hits is the album “Prayers” with singer Yossi Azulay; his single “Aneni Basharim” written by singer Kobi Aflalo; his single “Neshama” which he wrote along with Barak Elisha; a music video duet with Israeli Superstar Gad Elbaz called “Emunah” which Tal composed together with the arranger Ran Aviv; “Clouds in the Clouds” which was written by Kobi Afallo;; the song “Soul” composed by Uriel Aharoni and arranged by Ran Aviv and Gad Elbaz; “Ala” which he composed and wrote together with Ma’ayan Tamir to the words of Rabbi Kook; “Morning” composed and written by Elhanan Elhadad along with a music video with Rudy Rochman, Gad Elbaz, Binyamin Elbaz and Aharon Holder; the Hebrew adaptation of the French singer Daniel Levy’s song “l’envie d’aimer”; ‘Hallo‘ a duet with singer Yossi Azulay; “Moda Ani”, a performance sign in 4 languages and the hit song “My Day”.
At the beginning of the Iron Swords War, Tal enlisted to establish a special unit in his area of residence and at the same time handled the donations of tactical equipment to two thousand soldiers in the various sectors every night since the beginning of the war. At the same time as his military service, Tal travels between Israel Defense Forces bases and performs for the soldiers. Tal is loved by his many fans.
Karolina Protsenko
Karolina Protsenko is a 15 year old classically trained violinist. Born in Kiev, Ukraine October 3, 2008, she moved to the United States with her parents Nikolay and Ella Protsenko in 2015 when she was just 6 years old. Later that year she started violin lessons and soon after she began busking on the streets of Santa Monica, she quickly won the hearts of Millions of followers as she became an Internet sensation. She is now well known all over the world for her violin covers of top artists that she learns regularly by ear with her mother, and plays them live while dancing like no other. Karolina has gone viral on many of her videos and has been featured on “The Ellen Degeneres Show”, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” as well as, “Access Hollywood”. Sarge
Comedian Sarge is an entertainer who has performed worldwide to adoring audiences. He delights audiences with humor that resonates with audiences of all ages. And he is much more than a comedian – – Sarge is a self-taught piano savant, an author and motivational speaker. His humor comes from a very personal place as his road to success was not a smooth one. He was born in Miami Beach, Florida during the Civil Rights Movement to a Jewish mother and black father, but given up for adoption soon after birth. Fortunately, he was quickly adopted by a couple who then raised him in Great Neck, Long Island. At the fresh age of seven, SARGE would entertain in between hands of his grandpa Herman’s card games by doing impressions and jokes on cue. It was also at this time that his grandfather took him to shows in the Catskill Mountains, which was the live entertainment capital of New York State.
After playing clubs and colleges all over America for three years, SARGE found himself opening for some of the biggest names in music – Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin, Paul Anka, The Beach Boys, The Four Tops, Taylor Dayne, Donna Summer and Wayne Newton, just to name a few. These high profile gigs enabled SARGE’s act to evolve from a comedy appearance to an entertainment performance because he learned to weave his own musical talents into his shows. Naomi who was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, moved to New York 32 years ago. In 2004 Naomi started to her own kosher personal chef business, The Aussie Gourmet, to cater weekly and Shabbat/Yom Tov meals for families and individuals within The Five Towns and neighboring communities.
Naomi as her own cooking show, Sunny Side Up, on the Kosher.com network and also hosts her own weekly show, “Table for Two with Naomi Nachman” on The Nachum Segal Network – in which discusses all food-related and travel topics. In addition, Naomi writes a monthly column for the Mishpacha magazine covering food and travel called “Off the Eaten Track”. She is also a contributing editor to The Jewish Home newspaper for the last 13 years.
In 2017, Naomi published her debut cookbook, Perfect For Pesach with Artscroll Publications; and in November, 2018 Naomi published her second cookbook, Perfect Flavors also with Artscroll Publications.
In 2018, Naomi was invited to attend the New Jewish Media summit where she met with President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu. She has also been a guest host on the QVC TV network and has made a variety of guest appearances on CBS TV in both NY and Washington, NBC Morning News, Fox 5 New York, and the Hallmark Channel and has been quoted by the Forbes Magazine, Wall Street Journal on Jewish food trends.
Naomi is often sought after to do cooking demonstrations, book signings and to produce Kosher Chopped-style cooking competitions across the world, where she shares her immense enthusiasm and passion for food.
When Naomi is not traveling she can be found with her husband and family in Long Island, New York.
Naomi’s motto in life is “see the world, one bite at a time”.
Bradley Schachter
For the past 25 years, Bradley Schachter has been one of the top event band leaders in America. He was raised as a child actor appearing in over 100 national commercials, voiceovers for Peanuts and Disney, TV and film. His big claim to fame was appearing in Halloween 3 as Little Buddy. On his way to the Broadway and SNL scene in 1991, Bradley went to Israel for the summer and stayed for almost 7 years. During that time, he earned his Rabbinical Ordination and began his career in live music. In 1999, he created Nefesh Music and has performed extensively throughout North America and Israel until 2020. Bradley was also part of the team that revived the Name That Tune brand while performing in the live show on the Las Vegas strip. Recently, Bradley retired from big band events and has just released a new series of cover lullaby albums and videos with his new brand available at Bradleysongs.com. Bradley is married to Leah and have four children and one really cute grandson.
Brian Zev Steinberg
Zev Steinberg is a passionate WSET-certified wine enthusiast whose mission is to foster community through the shared love of wine, and to educate on the expanding market of premium kosher wines in a way that is practical and accessible for wine drinkers of all levels and experiences. He travels extensively to facilitate wine events and to link communities of kosher wine lovers across the United States, Israel and Europe. With a philosophy that taste is personal and each person’s wine journey unique, Zev conducts private and corporate tastings to empower consumers with the knowledge to shop for wines best suited for their individual preferences. Zev provides cellar curation services for private clients and is launching a kosher French wine tour service in Bordeaux this Summer. Sheina Yarmush
Sheina Yarmush, a Los Angeles based artist, has been providing paint parties for her community for almost a decade. She started as a caricature artist, 20 years ago in Brooklyn, and now has an Art studio in the Art district of Melrose, West Hollywood, CA . Her exquisite 3-dimensional art and Glow Art masterpieces were displayed twice at LA fashion week, including a Glow Jerusalem and a Glow Lubavitcher Rebbe. She proudly displays her Jewish identity and has gotten positive feedback for it.
In between leading paint parties, painting murals across the country and creating her own masterpieces, she is also an art teacher in three Jewish schools. When challenging one of her talented students to draw with simple crayons, Sheina took the challenge for herself and developed her own unique caricature style, drawing the faces from scribbles using crayons.
